Peake BMW (6-1) jumped out in front early in Wednesday’s game against Deanie’s Seafood scoring 3 out of its 4 runs in the 1st inning leading to a 4-1 victory.
Peake’s first four batters reached base then Magee ripped a single down the right field line scoring two runners. Jonathan Parker followed with a fielder’s choice to score Jarett Gongora to made it 3-0.
Another run was added in the second off a Luke Bernard walk followed by an RBI double by Kyler Johnston bringing the score to 4-0.
Deanie’s threatened the lead with a third inning rally by loading the bases but came up empty as reliever Corey Gaconi came on and ended the threat. Deanie’s finally got on the board in the fifth inning when a batter reached after being hit by a pitch then later scored on an RBI single.
The team will be back in action tonight at 5:30 p.m. vs. First NBC @ John Ehret.
