Dr. Terrence R. Flotte '79 recently spoke with our Crusaders in the Excalibur National Science Honor Society at their monthly meeting. Dr. Flotte discussed with our Crusaders topics in gene therapy for genetic diseases. 

He attended the University of New Orleans and his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Dr. Flotte is currently the provost and executive deputy chancellor of UMass Chan Medical School and the dean of the T.H. Chan School of Medicine.

An internationally known pioneer in human gene therapy, Dr. Flotte detailed the path to his current position, addressing medical school challenges and offering suggestions to students regarding best practices for working their way into the medical field.
