DJ Augustin '06 Returns to Nola

DJ Augustin ’06, a backup guard for the Denver Nuggets, returned to New Orleans on Thursday night to play basketball against the New Orleans Pelicans. Augustin scored nine points and had eight assists in 28 minutes against the Pelicans. The Denver Nuggets lost to the New Orleans Pelicans, 101-95, at the Smoothie King Center.

He was a former top ten draft pick and a former Brother Martin basketball star where he led the Crusaders to two State Championships. He spent his first four seasons in the NBA with Charlotte, which drafted him as the ninth overall pick in the first round in the 2008 NBA Draft. The Denver Nuggets are the sixth team that Augustin has played for since the 2012-2013 season.
