The CyberPatriot Team recently completed an exceptional season which culminated on Saturday, February 20, 2016.
The All Service Division team—comprised of students in our NJROTC program—finished 49th in their division in a field of 328 teams from across the globe. The All Service team’s combined scores in previous rounds seeded them in the Platinum Tier of the Category Round which included some of the most difficult challenges.
The Open Division team—public, private, and home school teams—was seeded in the Gold Tier and took 3rd Place in their classification of the Regional Round. This team also took 2nd Place at the State Round.
Only in their second year, Brother Martin’s CyberPatriot teams performed above expectation in high pressure situations where they were faced with various challenges and limited to six hours to complete as many of the tasks as possible.
Established by the Air Force Association, the CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Education Program was created to excite, educate, and motivate students toward careers in cyber security and other science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation’s future. Now, in its eighth season, the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition challenges teams of two to six students across the United States, Canada, and from DoDD schools abroad, to find and resolve cybersecurity vulnerabilities in simulated work environments.
