Crusaders Win Jack Schommer Title

dt.common.streams.StreamServerIt was a great day for the Crusader cross country program.  All three teams scored perfect scores of 15 to win each division.

Chace Edwards and Michael Maldonado competed against each other for the individual title, Dylan Yates stepped up to close the gap between our # 2 & 3, and Jonathan Fry had a great day as the #4 finisher. The team was split into teams of 6 to encourage more competition.  The Gold Team defeated the Crimson team 30-24. Congratulations to Chace Edwards, who was named The Advocate’s Prep Athlete of the week two weeks ago and Michael Maldonado, who earned the same honor for this week. (Click here to read article).

The JV turned in a great performance, and many guys raced to season bests in tough conditions. Ian Sigl won the individual title, with Jordan Anderson right on his heels. Grant Belsome and Ryan Guillera also turned in outstanding performances.
The Jr. High team continued its impressive season. 8th grader Hayden Courrege’ and 9th grader Andre’ Roevens led the way yet again, and 8th grader Benjamin Crowley, and 9th graders Ryan Bailey, Myles Ceravolo, and Samuel Martinez secured the perfect score for the young Crusaders.

Thanks to all parents, alumni, and faculty who came out to watch the meet. Special thanks to those parents who helped organize our team picnic following the races.
