Crusaders Win Hard Fought Battle over Christian Life Academy

IMG_8472In a rescheduled game from earlier in the season, the Brother Martin Crusaders (21-9) put together a full team effort against a top 1A Christian Life team to win 53-49.  The Crusaders were also without senior guard Jordan Cornish due to an injury he suffered during the Shaw game Tuesday night.

Brother Martin started the game off strong getting 13 points in the first quarter, but Christian Life hung with the Crusaders scoring 11 of their own. The Crusaders took control in the second quarter holding their opponents to just 9 points.  At the half, Brother Martin held the lead at 33-20.

Brother Martin won the third quarter battle 11-10 and held off a Christian Life comeback to win by a final score of 53-49.

Leading the charge for the Crusaders were senior Bryant Boudreaux with 11 points, juniors Travis Epps (11) and Venjie Wallis (9), and senior Austin Gauthreaux with 7 points.
