On Tuesday night (Senior Night), the Crusader baseball team (16-12-1) defeated the Jesuit Blue Jays by a score of 2-1. The strong pitching duo of Brandon Bonura and Lance Malter combined to limit the Blue Jays to one run on four hits in a game that lasted nine innings. With the scored tied 1-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Zach Repath drew a walk to lead things off. Then, Dominic Robert moved Repath to second on a bunt-single. Brendan Brown followed with a fielder’s-choice grounder that advanced Repath to third and a wild pitch to the next batter allowed Repath to score and complete the winning rally.
