On Tuesday, February 23rd, Environmental Science students had the benefit of touring the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans. Crusaders visited the water purification plant, the waste- water treatment plant, and a pumping station. The purpose of the field trip was to let the students experience firsthand about the treatment processes that the city uses to make river water safe to drink and waste-water clean enough to return to the river.
