The Brother Martin Crusader football team faced off against the E.D. White Cardinals on Friday night in Brothers of the Sacred Heart Jamboree at Nicholls State University’s John L. Guidry Stadium in Thibodaux. The Crusaders defeated the Cardinals by a score of 14-0. Senior Running Back Bruce Jordan-Swilling led the offensive charge with 120 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Freshman Running Back Chris Smith added a late second half touchdown. Defensive Backs Tre Swilling and Ryan Alfonso both notched interceptions to lead the strong defensive effort.
The Crusaders will be back in action on Friday, September 2, 2016 vs. the Plaquemine Green Devils. Kick- off is set for 7 p.m. at Tad Gormley Stadium. Additional tickets can be purchased at the gate for $8.
