Crusaders Serving the Community

Members of the Crusader student body have recently been named to various community organizations.  Brother Martin students will be represented in the Crimestoppers Teen Ambassadors Against Crime program and the City of Kenner’s Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council. The Crimestoppers Teen Ambassadors Against Crime Leadership Program aims to help students gain a better understanding of the criminal justice arena, including the role that students can and do play in community safety.

The mission of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council is to two-fold. This group obtains up-close and personal insight regarding how local government works and participates in the operations of various departments of government. In addition, participants provide their input as well as that of their peers to elected officials and administrative leaders on issues that important to the youth in our community. The MYAC creates an avenue to educate and energize students about their hometown and to involve them in the processes that make a positive difference.
