On Saturday, November 5, 2016, selected members of the Crusader Chorus performed in the 2016 Louisiana American Choral Directors Association Men’s All-State Honor Choir. Students from around the state of Louisiana auditioned for a chance to be part of this select choir. Trey Andrews ‘17, Andrew Butler ‘18, Carl Davis ‘18, Antonio Domino ‘17, Hunter Dunn ‘19, and Adam Schwarzenbach ‘18 participated in a weekend of rehearsals with Dr. Jeff Johnson from the University of Kentucky before presenting their final concert at First Baptist Church of New Orleans. Selections ranged from music written in the early 1800s (“Gott ist mein Hort”) to a modern Daft Punk-inspired setting of the Gregorian chant “Victimae paschali laudes” featuring vocoder and vocal percussionist!
Congratulations to these students on a job well-done!
