For the first time ever, students from all of the United States Province Brothers of the Sacred Heart schools gathered at St. Stanislaus College in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, for a week this summer to learn about and explore strategies for transmitting the Brothers’ charism back on their individual school’s campus. Ten student leaders were selected from the ten schools here in the Deep South as well as New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and the Philippines to work together at the beach-side Mississippi school. In addition to taking part in specific activities aimed at promoting social justice, solidarity, compassion, and trust, students completed a service project, attended Mass together, and socialized. Now, they have returned to their respective campuses to be teachers of the charism to others.
