Crusaders Outplay Tigers

IMG_9928On Tuesday night, the Crusaders were ready for some district action against the Holy Cross Tigers. They defeated the Tigers by a score of 69-56 thanks to the efforts of seniors Tré Swilling (15 points) and Vejon Wallis (13 points). Wallis also led the team on the defensive end with 11 rebounds, two steals and a block. At the end of the first half the Crusaders found themselves down 40-34, but came back strong in the second half and scored 22 points in the third quarter. Freshman Davonn “Peanut” Moore was the other Crusader who scored in double figures with 12 points. Other contributors were Jeremy Singleton, Blake Zamjahn, Bruce-Jordan Swilling, Tyler Epps, and Pattre’en Hughes.

The Crusaders return to the court on Friday, January 27, 2017 when they play John Curtis at Brother Martin.  Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
