A 10-run explosion in the second inning led the Crusader baseball squad to a 16-1 five inning victory over East Ascension at East Ascension on Tuesday.
Peyton Senner racked up three RBIs on two hits for Crusaders with singles in both the second and fourth innings.
Tyler Zamjahn’s seven strikeouts held the Spartans in check. Zamjahn allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over four innings.
The Crusaders added two more runs in the top of the fourth. Brice Johnston’s double got things going, plating Senner.
The Crusader are now 5-0 on the season and have only given up 1 run in all of their games. The Crusader baseball team will play their next game against Lakeshore @ Kirsch-Rooney at 7:00 pm on Thursday.
