Congratulations to Matthew Becnel and Justin Levy for being named to the Class All-Academic Composite team for track and field (outdoor) team. The Academic 4.00 Scholar team is composed of those senior student-athletes with the highest grade point averages from all classes/divisions in a sport. These student-athletes will be recognized and honored during the State Championships of their sport.
The *LHSAA / Exxon Mobil All-Academic Award Program presented by ISC recognizes the academic excellence of senior student-athletes who have attained a 3.5 GPA or higher. Their GPA allows placement on the Composite All-Academic or Class All-Academic Teams.
To earn All-Academic Composite team honors, a student-athlete’s six-semester GPA must be one of the 18 highest in all seven classifications. If there are any ties at the eighteenth position, all student-athletes are placed on the Composite All-Academic team. The Composite All-Academic team (all 4.00 students unless listed to break the tie) will be honored at the state events.
They will also be honored during LHSAA State Championship track and field event at LSU University, Baton Rouge, LA.
