“In my prayer for us all is that through the intercession of Mary, that faithful virgin, mother and educator, the Lord grant us the gift of fidelity to our charism, so that we may be witnesses of hope on the way of communion.” The Fire of Charism, Brother Jose Ignacio Carmona, S.C.
On Thursday, May 4, Brother Martin hosted a May Crowning in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary in front of our Blessed Mother’s statue in the Backyard near the Thomas F. and Elaine P. Ridgley Fine Arts and Athletic Center and the Brother Mark Thornton Terrace. During the crowning, junior Michael Hymel '24 placed a crown of flowers upon Mary’s head to the accompaniment of music provided by Mr. Dominick Caronna ’85 and Mr. Michael Scorsone ’67 SA. Prior to the crowning, Rev. Monsignor Andrew Taormina ’54 SA celebrated Mass and said a blessing for the students and school in honor of Mary.
We would like to thank everyone who attended the crowning in honor of our Blessed Mother.
Ametur Cor Jesu! Ametur Cor Mariae!
