“What a joy to remember that she is our Mother!” —St. Thérèse of Lisieux

On Thursday, May 7, Brother Martin High School held its annual May Crowning ceremony, recognizing our beloved Mary, Mother of Jesus, following morning Mass in the James B. Branton Chapel, celebrated by Father Michael Schneller ‘64 SA. Following the morning liturgy, Christopher Vicknair ‘28 placed a crown of spring flowers on the statue of the Virgin Mary, and members of the Parents Club rosary group and guests laid flowers at the feet of Our Lady. The event was organized by Mrs. Cissy Yakelis and Mr. Donnie Midkiff '03, and musical selections in honor of Mary were provided by Mr. Dominick Caronna ’85 and members of our Crusader band. Following the event, participants joined together for a coffee social in the Crusader Cafe.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us in honoring Mary, the Mother of God, during this special May Crowning celebration.

Hail, Mary, full of grace,

the Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women

and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,

now and at the hour of our death.
