Crusaders ‘Give Back’ at ARNO

Saturday morning- bright  and early- Key Clubbers Ian Johnson ‘17, Carson Scott ‘20, Scott Hews ‘20, Brier Hots ‘17, Emmanuel Levy ‘20, Noah Hargrove ‘20, Dwayne Heron ‘20 and Brad Corcoran ‘20  met at ARNO (Animal Rescue New Orleans) to work with the dogs and cats in their care. The students spent the morning cleaning the backyards for the dogs, organizing the blankets, toys, and doggie “fashion.” After that, there was lots of sweeping and scrubbing of floors, washing feeding bowls, and folding laundry. They also found a little time to hang out with the dogs who are up for adoption. Some of the Crusaders even took pictures of dogs they knew family or friends might be interested in adopting!

ARNO is a no-kill shelter for both dogs and cats that is “dedicated to the rescue and aid of abandoned and homeless animals in the New Orleans area, including responding to the immediate needs of those in need of medical care or those too old, too young, too sick, neglected, abused and deprived of love.”

Anyone wishing more information can check out ARNO’s website at animalrescueneworleans.org.
