And all that spirit!
Whoa!

The first pep rally of the 2016-2017 school year is in the books. Coach Mark Bonis issued a challenge to all the Conlin Crazies to bring it to the game tonight. Cole Desselle ‘17 introduced the senior swimmers. Then, the real fun began. First, there was the challenge that pitted the teachers– Mrs. Susie Newburger, Mr. Billy Rieger ‘95, Mr. Matt Lambert ‘98 and Mr. Patrick McClain– against the students– Jamie Hanzo (cheerleader), Colby Coulon ‘18, Michael Champagne ‘19, and Blake Zamjahn ‘17– in a surprisingly tough game of exercise ball volleyball. Of course, the younger and better-looking students beat the teachers. After that game, the cheerleaders and the band pushed the spirit ‘out of bounds’ with the fight song and cheering. Next, a Lip Sync competition ensued between the senior team of Anthony Brindisi, Mason Bonnaffons, and Gene Baker and the representatives of the St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws (in the guise of Mr. Don Guidry and Mr. David Joyner). The seniors killed it with their renditions of Cascada’s “Everytime We Touch” and Cher’s “Do You Believe in Life After Love.” But, Mr. Joyner had some smooth moves as well; he rocked Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” After all the fun, Mr. Gallagher had his own fun with the student’s “Boos” and “Blues.” Man, if this pep rally is any indication of the 2016-2017 school year, it will be amazing!
