Brother Martin (19-10, 4-5) traveled to Rummel’s gym Friday night seeking a much needed district win. At the end of the night, the Crusaders came out on top by a score of 54-45, snapping a three-game losing streak.
Brother Martin dominated defensively and on the boards gaining a 43-21 rebound margin. The Crusaders also limited Rummel to nine, five and 10 points respectively in the first three quarters and led by double digits for much of the game.
Senior guard Jordan Cornish tallied 12 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Crusaders while senior Bryant Boudreaux and junior Drew Lewis contributed an additional 10 points apiece.
