Crusaders Fly Over Eagles for Senior Night

IMG_5635On Friday night, the Crusader basketball team celebrated Senior Night and picked up an important district victory against the Shaw Eagles by a score of 64-43. Seniors Tyler Epps, Tyler Lally, and Jason Stant were presented before the game with their parents and thanked for their contributions and sacrifices to the Crusader basketball team. Coach Biehl commented, about the seniors, “it is a privilege to honor these three seniors this year. Jason, Tyler, and Tyler embody everything that a student-athlete should be.”

During the game, Lally lead all scorers with 24 points on 62% shooting (8 for 13) including 80% from a three-point range. Epps and Stant also played pivotal roles in the victory with Epps scoring five points and Stant scoring two points and grabbing four rebounds. Other contributors to the winning effort were Victor Tomlinson (nine points), Davonn Moore (eight points), Nick Turner (eight points), and Javier Perez (seven points).

The Crusaders return to the court on Tuesday, February 6 as they travel to John Curtis to take on the Patriots. Junior varsity tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. followed by varsity at 7 p.m.
