Sterling Heindel
Over the Mardi Gras break, four members of the Brother Martin Tennis team participated in the Gulf Coast Junior Open Tournament and in the YMCA Junior Open Tournament.
In the Gulf Coast Tournament, Sterling Heindel ‘20 won the Boys’ 14 Singles defeating the #2 seed in the finals. In the same tournament, Dawson Miller ’17 placed second in the Boys’ 18 Singles bracket; he also received the honorable Sportsmanship Award for the tournament. In the YMCA tournament, Ethan Bosch ’20 won the consolation bracket in the Boys’ 16 Singles. Also, Hunter Kael ’19 placed second in the Boys’ 16 Singles and received the Honorable Sportsmanship Award for the tournament.
Congratulations to all four players for their accomplishments! The Brother Martin Tennis team will begin District play against Rummel on Thursday February 18th for 4 p.m. at the UNO Tennis Center.
