Congratulations to the following Crusader Chorus members who were selected to the Louisiana ACDA Men’s All-State Choir: Trey Andrews ’17, Andrew Butler ’18, Carl Davis ’18, Antonio Domino ’17, Hunter Dunn ’19, and Adam Schwarzenbach ’18. For the audition, the applicants submitted a recording of the audition song to be scored by a panel of judges. Their recordings were judged against recordings received from across the state. In early November, they will participate in rehearsals and a performance with the LA ACDA Men’s All-State Choir under the direction of Dr. Jeff Johnson from the University of Kentucky. The performance will coincide with the 2016 Louisiana ACDA Fall Vocal Conference in New Orleans.
The American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) is a nonprofit music-education organization whose central purpose is to promote excellence in choral music through performance, composition, publication, research, and teaching. ACDA also strives through arts advocacy to elevate choral music’s position in American society.
