Friday night in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, the Brother Martin Crusaders (2-0) and St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws (1-3) met in what many thought would be a game dominated by both offenses. They were only half right. With outstanding blocking by the Crusader offense, junior running back Bruce Jordan-Swilling ran for 344 yards and 7 touchdowns with 19 carries in the first half catapulting the Crusaders to a 47-14 halftime lead. In the second half, senior quarterback Jake Broggi connected with senior tight end Irv Smith for a 12 yard touchdown. The Crusader defense also looked very impressive, holding the high-powered Rock-A-Chaw offense to 21 points. The Crusaders dominated the Rock-A-Chaws in a 68-21 victory.
The Crusaders look to advance to 3-0 this Friday against the Karr Cougars (0-2) at Tad Gormley Stadium. Game begins at 7p.m.
