Crusaders Celebrate Spring Sports at Pep Rally

Copy of IMG_9931Wearing every Brother Martin t-shirt imaginable in the Conlin Gym, our Crusaders gathered to celebrate the spring sport seasons at Friday morning’s pep rally. Senior team members were recognized in either Baseball, Golf, Tennis, or Track & Field. In addition to the spring sports excitement, our school was able to celebrate two huge athletic accomplishments. Our Crusader Tennis team captured the District Championship for the first time since 1987! Additionally, our 2018 Bowling State Champions were recognized for their hard work and their outstanding accomplishment of the state title! Our bowlers were cheered on by the student body and presented the state trophy with pride to our Principal Ryan Gallagher ‘00.

The Student Council created a great pep rally agenda with constant cheering and friendly competition between student and faculty participants. Students from each grade level participated in a ‘slam dunk’ contest with the seniors winning. The excitement continued with a fun and friendly faculty game of ‘Zorb’ Ball. Mr. Drew Haro ‘03, Mr. Nathaniel Peters ‘13, Mr. Jamie Bridgman, Mr. Cisco Gonzales ‘13, Mr. Charles Maihlo ‘08  and Mr. Don Midkiff ‘03 took to the mat for a soccer match-up while in the ‘zorb’ ball outfits.

In addition to the competitions, NJROTC Commander Bruce Nolan ‘90 highlighted all of the great accomplishments of our 2017-18 NJROTC Unit.  Featured at the pep rally was the Drill Team of Johnny Do ‘18 and Michael Serié ‘17 who demonstrated their award-winning routine in front of a very spirited student body.

Congratulations, Crusaders, for all of the great accomplishments during the 2017-18 school year.  And many thanks to the Student Council Executive Board who have planned many exciting pep rallies for the student body this school year!
