On Friday, February 1, the Brother Martin faith community celebrated its annual Mass for Social Justice. The school-wide Mass was celebrated by Br. Louis Couvillon, S.C., and it points to the commitment by both the Catholic Church and the Brothers of the Sacred Heart to building a more just society. After Mass, the Welcoming Diversity Club awarded three seniors–Christian Beshel, Cisco Gonzales, Jacob Kissee–and two faculty and staff members–Mr. Robert Masson and Mr. Dac Le–with the Collin Dugas, S.C., Social Justice Award. The award is given to students, faculty, staff who show an exemplary commitment to social justice and treating all people with dignity and respect.
