With last night’s victory, the Crusaders are hanging another banner on the wall. Last night, Brother Martin defeated Jesuit by a score of 36-16.  The Conlin Gym was a packed house for this District battle.  Key matches for the Crusaders were the 120 pound, 152 pound, and 195 pound.  In the 120 lb. weight class, Dominic Casadaban scored a fall over Jesuit’s Vincent Bonadona.  Austin Ivicevich upset Jesuit’s Ronnie Hoefeld 10-8 at 152 pounds. Gerard Roman, a defending state champion at 189 pounds, was too much for Jesuit’s Gage Grush at 195 pounds, scoring a technical fall with a 17-2 victory. That defeat pretty much ended any hope of a victory for Jesuit.  Brother Martin won 9 of the 13 matches.

The Crusaders are back in action this weekend at the St. Paul’s Invitational.  Go ‘Saders!
