The Brother Martin Crusaders traveled down the road to play Holy Cross to begin the second round of district play Tuesday night.
In the first quarter Holy Cross jumped to an 18-12 lead but was held scoreless in the second quarter until about 3:00 minutes left.
During this time, Austin Gauthreaux scored 10 points in the second quarter. Gauthreaux hit 3 three pointers to help give the Crusaders a 25-18 lead. The Crusaders held a 29-24 lead at halftime, but the Tigers started the third quarter with an 11-3 run and continued with a strong fourth quarter to win 62-57.
The team’s next game is Friday, Feb 7th at 7:00 pm when the Crusaders travel to Jesuit.
