On a chilly Tuesday afternoon the LHSAA State Cross Country Championship was held at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. A total of 334 individual runners and 47 full teams competed in the championship event’s largest race.
The Crusaders rallied behind Hayden Courrege’ (4th, 15:53.99), Chace Edwards (5th, 16:00.14), wrestling standout Mason Williams (17th, 16:36.37), Myles Ceravolo (26th, 16:47.77) and Felipe Pelaez (46th, 17:05.14) to finish with 98 points and a second place overall finish. Marco Perez finished 48th and Benjamin Crowley finished 68th to finish out the Crusader seven runner.
