Crusaders are "Proudly- Pro Life"

Students, faculty, and staff associated with Crusaders for Life, Brother Martin’s pro-life club, were given the opportunity to attend the Eighteenth Annual Proudly Pro-Life Awards Dinner with the assistance of a  generous donor. The dinner took place at Chateau Country Club in Kenner on Thursday, January 19, 2017. The Brother Martin students who were in attendance at the dinner were acknowledged publicly for their pro-life advocacy – as examples of students who care greatly about the unborn and their right to life.

The program’s Master of Ceremonies was Robert Winn, who founded Louisiana Right to Life, and also included an Invocation and Blessing by the Reverend Corey Hicks from Louisiana Black Advocates for Life. Archbishop Gregory Aymond ‘67 CJ gave the closing remarks and a Benediction.  Former Louisiana Senator David Vitter and his wife, Wendy, received this year’s Proudly Pro-Life Award.

The Crusaders for Life and Ministers of Communion will host a prayer vigil on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.  in the Branton Chapel to pray for an end to abortion.  All are invited to attend the prayer vigil. Also, please keep our Crusaders for Life in your prayers as they travel to Washington, DC next week for the annual March for Life.

Our Crusaders for Life are “Proudly Pro- Life!”
