As we come to the end of October which is celebrated as Respect Life month, the Brother Martin students, faculty, and staff came together this morning to reflect on life for a school-wide prayer service in the Robert M. Conlin Gymnasium.  Brother Martin’s campaign “40 Days for Life”  which began in September concludes this week with the administration encouraging students to become more personally involved after being educated in their Catholic faith.

Topics Reflected at the  Culture of Life Assembly:

  • Homeless
  • Imprisoned
  • Disabled
  • Racism
  • Mental Health Issues
  • Elderly
  • Terminally Ill
  • Impoverished
  • Environmental Conditions
  • The Unborn

In conjunction with the assembly, Brother Martin is partnering with Sr. Vera Butler and Lantern Light Ministry to help provide nourishment and keep the ministry’s food bank stocked to feed the homeless and hungry in the city of New Orleans. Our students are encouraged to bring in unopened jars of peanut butter and jelly during the week of Monday, October 26th-Friday, October 30th. Donations can be placed in collection boxes located in each Religion classroom, both Resources Centers, and at the window of Student Services.

Thank you for your support in helping to feed the homeless and hungry.
