The Crusaders started off their playoff race yesterday against the Comeaux Spartans. Brother Martin took an early lead after an RBI double Rivers Frederick scoring Jacob Seward. The Spartans battled back and took the lead 3-1 . The Crusaders were able to rally in the bottom of the 3rd and score 6 runs to make the score 7-3. Heading into the final inning, Brother Martin was ahead 11-5 and finished the game with a score of 11-8.
The winning pitcher was Jacob Brooks. Jacob Seward had three hits, Cody Ducote had two hits and two RBIs, Rivers Frederick had three hits and three RBIs and Peyton Senner had two hits and three RBIs for the Crusaders in thier Class 5A bi-district playoff win.
Brother Martin will play Dutchtown on Monday at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium. The game is set to start at 6:00 pm.
