Over Father’s Day weekend, the Crusader Wrestling Club (which is housed in the Aloysius Gymnasium) competed in the prestigious Jazz Town Duals. Teams from all over the nation stormed the campus of Xavier University for two days of nonstop wrestling action and the event was broadcasted LIVE on Flowrestling.
The Crusaders were missing several decorated wrestlers including LHSAA State Champions: Connor Hoffman ’20, Logan Bertot ’20, Mason Massicot ’20, and Alex Duncan ’20. However, a young and hungry team seized the opportunity to gain experience. On Saturday, the Crusaders went 3-1 in dual competition and earned a spot in Sunday’s championship round. Unfortunately, injuries and inexperience set in and the team finished Sunday 1-3 for a .500 record for the weekend.
In the end, Crusader Wrestling Club finished higher than any Louisiana club at the Jazz Town Duals.
