The College Placement Office hosted its annual “Take the Next Step” program for juniors and their parents. The goal of the evening is to provide information regarding the college research and application process targeted to individual students’ and parents’ interests and needs. After a brief overview in the Conlin Gymnasium, students and parents could choose from 10 breakout sessions, with topics such as “The Financial Aid Search,” “Choosing a College Major,” and “Applying to Competitive Colleges and Universities.” All sessions were presented by admissions representatives from colleges and universities, and attendees had the opportunity to attend three breakout sessions and visit college admissions officers at a mini College Fair in the Benson Mall at the conclusion of the night’s program. “Take the Next Step” is just one program in a long list of resources provided to Crusaders and their families to help prepare them for college.
