Senior shortstop Greg Deichmann just returned home from a weekend in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Perfect Game Nationals with with 250-300 of the nation’s top high school players. On Tuesday, Deichmann will travel to Cary, NC to participate in the Tournament of Stars, where 40 players will be chosen to continue on the USA National Team to compete in Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles later in August before reducing the roster to 20 for the final USA squad to compete in Taiwan.
Most recently, the Brother Martin shortstop has been named to the Rawlings All-American Game roster to be played on August 11 at Petco Park in San Diego. The game consists of the top 40 high school players in the country and will be televised on MLB Network.
