Congratulations to our Brother Martin Varsity Soccer team and Wrestling team for their District Championship wins this weekend!
Congratulations to our undefeated soccer district champions! Varsity Soccer claimed the district title on Saturday after an 8-0 victory over Hahnville. Patrick Simoneaux '20 and Bryce Kennedy '20 each scored 3 goals and Etienne Julien '22 and Eric Milligan '20 each scored 1 goal. Brackets for the playoff pairings will be released at the end of this week. Congratulations to our district champion soccer team!
Over the weekend the wrestling team won the Catholic League District Championships. The Crusaders scored 250.5 points to second place Holy Cross' 191 and third place Jesuits' 172. The weekend was highlighted by individual tournament titles earned by Mason Elsensohn '22, Connor Hoffman '20, Alex Duncan '20, Riley Horvath '20, Mason Massicot '20, Eli Hope '21, Cameron Frederick '21, and Kyle West '20. Special recognition goes out to Anton Brown for avenging an earlier season loss by defeating the 6th ranked wrestler from Holy Cross. The varsity team is next in action at the LHSAA State Championships in Bossier City on February 14-15.
