Crusader Season Comes to a Close

Saturday marked the end of the 2012 football season for the Crusaders.  With a final record of 4-5, (1-3 in District), the Crusaders will not advance to the state playoffs for the first time in four seasons.

Running back Jabbar Singleton rushed for 228 yards on 29 carries and accounted for two of the team’s three touchdowns via an 80-yard run and 41-yard scoring pass to wide receiver Jacob Seward.  The third TD came from Brice Johnston who returned the second half kickoff for 99 yards.

Before the game, the Seniors and their parents were honored as Brother Martin hosted its Senior Day festivities.  Also, Mr & Mrs. Tom and Gayle Benson assisted the captains for the coin toss.
