The Brother Martin Rugby team came storming back to beat Jesuit for the 2nd time this season. After conceding 10 points in the first half and scoring none, the Crusaders came out fired up in the second half. Scores by Ben Gambino off of an interception, Jeffery Anderson, Nick Williams off of well worked back moves and a beautiful dummy pass and run by Matthew Hood off the base of the ruck led Brother Martin to a 20-10 lead. Sinesio Conseco hit the conversion to the Hood try to bring the score to 22-10. The Crusaders had some mental and defensive lapses to allow Jesuit to score one more converted try at the final whistle for a final score of 22-17.
The B-side was led by the Duhe brothers with Vincent Duhe scoring the first try and his older brother Lester scoring on a great offload from Daniel Cardenez. Lester Duhe scored again by streaking down the Jesuit sideline for a try. Both tries were converted by Quinn Condon to end the game 14-0.
The Crusader Rugby team stands at 3-1 and plays Lake Area on February 20 at the City Park Rugby Field.
