For the second year in row, the Brother Martin Pen and Sword received rank of Excellent from the 2012 National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines. Four hundred and seventeen schools entered the 2012 Program to Recognize. The entire Brother Martin student body, faculty and staff wants to congratulate Tom Leggett (Faculty Advisor) and the 2011-12012 Editorial staff: David Judd, Austin Krieger, David Miranda, Ethan Olsen, Alan Pham, Thomas Ridgley, Nicholas Teague and Corey Walsh.
