Crusader Offense Proves Too Much for the Tigers

P1150930The Brother Martin Crusaders jumped out to an early lead on Holy Cross to capture a 9-2 victory on Friday at UNO’s Maestri Field coming up with five runs in the first three innings to put the game away early.

Two runs off an error and a fielder’s choice during the first inning fueled the Crusader offense.  Brother Martin piled on three more runs in the bottom of the third. Gregory Deichmann’s double got things going, scoring Lahare who tripled in his at bat. That was followed up by Jonathan Parker’s single, plating Deichmann and Owen Magee.

Brother Martin added four more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Brice Johnston kicked things off with a single, plating Parker Oubre.

Daniel Lahare had two extra-base hits for the Crusaders with triples coming in the first and third innings.

Corey Gaconi kept Holy Cross off the board during his six innings of work. Corey allowed three hits, two walks and struck out five.
