Crusader Martial Arts Team Members Earn Medals

DSC_0338The United States Karate Alliance held the 2015 World Tournament at the Riverside Hilton in New Orleans last week. After a year of continuous training, the Brother Martin Martial Arts Team competed against other students from many other styles and from across the country. Despite having a long grueling wait after each competitor was staged for combat, each of our Crusader Warriors battled hard and stayed true to the philosophy of Brotherhood and Service. As a result of their discipline and training, four Crusaders medaled in the World Tournament.  Senior Christian Roche won the Silver Medal in the Young Men’s Beginner Division. Eighth Grader Paul Maestri won the Silver Medal for the Youth Boy’s Advanced Division. Fellow Eighth Grader Brad Corcoran was able to take home the Gold Medal in the Youth Boy’s Beginner Division. And Junior Cameron Hipps retained his title and won the Gold Medal in the Young Men’s Advanced Division.

Coach Heller would like to thank the Faculty, Administration, Staff and Families of Brother Martin for their continued support the Brother Martin Martial Arts Team.  Any student can join the team at any time of the year and should see Coach Heller if they are interested.
