Crusader Lacrosse Closes Out with Fall Ball Tournament

IMG_0716-RIn November, the Crusader lacrosse program completed their “fall-ball” season with games at Independence Park in Baton Rouge over the Thanksgiving holiday. The varsity team won all three games going 3-0, with 45 shots on goals, outscoring their opponents 28 to 1 and a 62% scoring average.

The defense picked up 53 ground balls as the team was led by Chase Mountain ’18 and Jackson Schneider ’18. Leading in points for the Crusaders were Jonathan Code ’18 and Noah Velez ’18 with five goals each, and William Jones ‘18 with four goals.

The junior varsity and the junior varsity-b teams played hard and split games with their opponents. The jvb team fought tough through their first game but fell 2-3 and tied their second game 5-5. Lacrosse action continues on January 6, 2018 with the annual Alumni vs. Varsity Game at Benson Field.
