On Tuesday, December 4th, the Brother Martin Athletic Department hosted its annual convocation honoring the cross country program. Head Coach Drew Haro ‘03 spoke on behalf of the varsity and junior varsity levels highlighting various accomplishments. Assistant Coach Mr. Philip Sims ‘91 also addressed the junior high program on their season. Overall for their season, the varsity program captured the 9-5A District title, Region III-5A title, and claimed fourth-place in State. Highlighting the day for the team was Gary Sandrock ‘21 with an 11th-place finish.

The runners receiving special recognition were as follows:

Team Captains:  Abram Bernstein ‘20, Ethan Dupas ‘20, and Gary Sandrock ‘21

Most Valuable Runner:  Gary Sandrock ‘21

Jack Schommer Award:  Joshua Mendoza ‘20
