Under the lights of Tad Gormley on Friday night, the Brother Martin Crusaders faced off against the Rummel Raiders in the final district game of the season. It was also Senior Night for members of the Football Team, Medical Staff, and Crusader Band. Brother Martin (4-6, 1-4) took advantage of two early fumbles by Rummel and led 6-0 in the first quarter. Rummel scored a running touchdown and tacked on a field goal as the first half ended, heading into the half with a narrow 10-6 lead.
After halftime, the Raiders got the ground game going and eliminated the turnovers which helped them get the win.
The Brother Martin Crusaders (visitors) will take on the Jesuit Blue Jays (home) in the first round of the LHSAA Division I Select School State Football Playoffs. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm this Friday at Tad Gormley. Tickets can be purchased in the Bookstore this week for $6 & $8 at the gate. Student ID’s and Season Passes will not be honored during the playoffs.
