The 2013 Crusader Football season got underway last night as they took part in the West Bank Optimist Classic against the West Jefferson Buccaneers. Brother Martin freshman wide-receiver Jeremy Singleton had three receptions for 103-yards and a touchdown, while senior Brice Johnston tallied 104-yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. However it wasn’t enough as West Jefferson came back from a 20-point deficit to win 23-20. Thanks to all of our student athletes, coaches, medical support staff, cheerleaders, Crusader Band members, and our student and parent fans for coming out to support the Crimson and Gold!
The Crusaders open the regular season with a home game against Patterson next Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm at Pan American Stadium. Listen live on WGSO, 990 AM and at www.wgso.com.
