Last week’s football game contained more action than just on the gridiron.Brother Martin hosted Junior High Band Night in which 25 prospective Crusaders joined the Crusader Band for an evening of music. Prospects joined current Crusader Band members and current Band Director, Mr. Dominick Caronna ’85, and Assistant Band Director, Mr. Chris Bailey ’86, in the Crusader Band Room for a meet and greet and a little practice before heading to Tad Gormley Stadium to perform with the Crusader Band during the Varsity Football Game. Prospects joined current band members in the stands as they played a variety of tunes as well as joined them on the field for a halftime performance where they performed the Brother Martin ‘Fight Song’. On the same night and sharing the same stage as these budding musicians were our alumni band members, 50+ strong, who regained their youth as they joined the Crusader Band in the stands for lively music all night long. Finally, over 90 cheerleaders-to-be performed a series of tumbling passes, stunts, and cheers with our Crusader Cheerleaders!
