During the Christmas break, three Crusaders (Austin Centola ‘17, Brent Clement ‘17, and Sam Walters ‘17) had the opportunity to march in the London New Year’s Day Parade as an All-American Cheerleader. The Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) and Varsity, the cheerleading gear company, chose the All-American Cheerleaders during the UCA summer camps last summer – quite an honor for all of the young men and women who were chosen to participate. During the parade, the All American Cheerleaders performed a routine that they learned while in London.
Austin Centola ‘17 said, “This once in a lifetime opportunity was a trip that I will never forget and will definitely cherish forever. While in London, I got to meet some great people from all over the country, some of which I still keep in touch with. While there, we also had the opportunity to tour places like Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, and we even walked across Abbey Road. This trip was just an overall great experience and something that I would love to be able to experience again.”
