Crusader Basketball Wins Third Straight Game

Crusader Basketball was victorious against Chalmette 43-34 on Monday night with the help of T.J. Small, who scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. On a three-pointer from Javier PerezBrother Martin locked down their lead in the third quarter.

Brother Martin came back forcibly in the final two quarters, after being behind early in the game, trailing 16-15 at the half. Brother Martin gathered steam late in the game, scoring a game-high 21 points in the third quarter.

Small found success all over the court for Brother Martin, including an alley-oop dunk and an athletic offensive rebound putback, while also sinking 83% (5-for-6) of free throws attempted.

Perez achieved double digits, scoring 10 points for Brother Martin (4-for-11). Also chipping in for Brother Martin were Peter Schneller (4 points, 3 rebounds), Grant DeLord(3 points, 5 rebounds), Shane Griffin (3 points, 2 rebounds), Dillon Delatte (3 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block), Victor Tomlinson (3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals), and Brock Ranlett(2 points, 1 rebound, 1 block).

Brother Martin finished the game with 36 rebounds (12 offensive / 24 defensive), two blocks and seven steals.

The team returns to action Thursday night at Chalmette High School's Valero Christmas Classic. The team opens up with Warren Easton. Tip-off is at 6 P.M.
