Crusader Basketball Takes Inaugural Crusader Invitational

Brother Martin pulled ahead early and eventually claimed a 43-16 lead by halftime against the Higgins Hurricanes. The championship game ended with the Crusaders winning 73 to 35 and claiming the Crusader Invitational title.

TJ Small '20 got Brother Martin off to a great start, putting 11 points on the scoreboard in the first period.  He finished with 14.

Corey Skillman '23 sank two three-pointers and scored 14 points total. Three other players also scored in the double digits for Brother Martin. Brock Ranlett '21 added 11 points and Grant Delord '21 racked up 10 points. Also chipping in for Brother Martin were Davonn Moore '20 (7 points, 4 rebounds), Steven Louis '20 (6 points, 6 rebounds), Rex Hernandez '21 (5 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal), Marvin Jones '22 (4 points, 3 rebounds), and Isaiah Torregano '21 (2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal).

Brock Ranlett was named the tournament's MVP.

The Crusaders are now 18-2 on the season and will begin district play on Friday when they play at home against the Rummel Raiders.
