Crusader Basketball Plays Well Against Central Lafourche

Brother Martin emerged victorious 81-38 against Central Lafourche on Saturday on the strength of Grant DeLord '21, who scored 19 points.

At the end of the first half, Crusaders commanded a 44-17 lead after a 28-8 run.
Brother Martin's DeLord hit 9-for-10 (90%) shots from the floor.

Three other players also scored in the double digits for Brother Martin. Brock Ranlett '21 added 18 points and Corey Skillman '23 contributed 13 points. Jace Patin '22 notched three three-pointers and scored 19 points total. Also chipping in for Brother Martin were Rex Hernandez '21 (5 points, 1 rebound, 3 steals), Marvin Jones '22 (5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals), and Nick Edler '23 (2 points, 2 rebounds). Ranlett was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up five rebounds and eight steals.

Brother Martin finished the game with 25 rebounds (8 offensive / 17 defensive) and 23 steals.  The team improved to 9-2 on the season.  The Crusaders play next in the War on the Shore at St. Stanislaus. The team plays Pascagoula on Saturday, December 19th; tip-off is at 4:00 P.M.
